FEILDING COURT.
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 35, (Before Mr Thomson, S.M.)
At Peilding Court 'this morning, before Mr Thomson, S.M., Walter Hastie was fined 10s and 7s costs for being in possession of a bottle of whisky, he being a prohibited person. Charges brought by the Borough Ranger against James Cobhe, of rescuing a horse and abusive language were dismissed, the former with costs against the complainant. A charge brought by the Ranger against A. Hammond, of grazing a horse in the street, was also dismissed. •» Wung Hung was convicted on the evidence of Sanitary Inspector O ’Brien with allowing his yards to be in an insanitary condion, and was fined £1 and costs £1 10s. Judgment for plantiff was given in the following undefended cases : —T. B. Fowler v. Awa Rewa, claim £l7, costs £ll 6s; P. Mercer v. W. G. Poles, claim £3, costs 10s; W. G. Woollams v. J. Rayuer, claim £3 , lls, costs 10s; A. J. Bowator v. G. Petly, claim £3 13s, costs 10s; A. E. Ratliffe v. B. D. Richards, claim £l7 los 4d, costs £1 10s; S. Rodgers v. M. A. Burgess, claim £33 19s, costs £3l 4s. In a judgment summons case A. P. Walker v. Taraua Utiku Marumaru, claim £8 15s, an order was made to pay forthwith, in default nine days’ imprisonment. , In a judgment summons case, T. B. Powler v. Walter Reed, claim £5 3s 3d, an order was made to pay the amotmt forthwith, in default five ■ days’ imprisonment. |
