Per Preps Association,
C'HiusToiruncjf, September 20. The New Zealand Plounnillers’ Association announces a rise in the price oi flour of 10s per ton as from to-day. The present prices are ; Sacks JUG 10s, bags £ll, sGlb bags £ll ss, 251b_bags £ll 10s. The reason gi.r-n lor rim advance is that, with wheat ceiling at current quotations, it is impossible to manufacture flour at the old prices, The millers assort that the pric-is riding lately have boon from 20s to 30s per ton below what would yield them a fair [margin of profit and that they v/eiio pflablecl to carry on only because'they had secured supplies of wheat when prieps \yoye considerably below the present rates.
