In the Assembly Mr Bent, submitting the reduction of income tax proposal, said he would not be sorry if it was not carried as ho could afford the reduction if it was adopted as a menus of cutting down other votes in committee. The reduction of the tax altered from 20 to 15 per cent and the exemption of incomes raised to £l5O.
