AN ASTOUNDING SUICIDE.
Mr Samuel Lefevro, a prominent young tradesman of Dover, has committed suicide in an extraordinary manner. He started to return to Dover from London, but loft tho train at Folkestone, where he puchased a quantity of methylated spirit. He thou walked along the railway line in the direction of Dover, and on reaching an isolated spot known as the Warren he undressed. Placing his clothing on the ground so as to form a circle, he saturated it with methylated spirit and then setting fire to it he stood in the centre of the blazing material. For some time tho unhappy man walked about in tho circle of fire until ho collapsed from terrible injuries. A naturalist who was engaged in catching moths, observed him and gave information to the railway authorities. A light engine was at once sent to the spot and the injured man was conveyed to Dover where he died in terrible agony. It is supposed that tho man’s mind had become unhinged by worry.
