Breeders in this district will be pleased to note from our advertising columns that Messrs Bruce? aud Day’s purebred Clydesdale stallion, “Scottish Chief,” will be at their service this season. ‘‘Scottish Chief” is a beautiful bright bay, standing on grand sound feet, has strong, clean, flat bone of the best quality, fine silky hair, and is an extra heavy horse, standing 17 hands high. He was bred by Mr George Grice, sen., Wellington, and was foaled on November 3rd, 1898. He has splendid action, with great substance and power. His sire, Middlerigg Prince, was bred by Mr John Boag, Brookside,“by the celebrated Middlerigg, by Pure Diamond (imp.).
