COURTS.
Per Press Association. Wellington, September 11. Wm. George Tustin, paper-hanger, was charged under tho Bankruptcy Act, before Mr Eiddoll, S.M., this afternoon, with having contracted debts without any reasonable grounds for expectation ,of being ablo to pay them, as well ns his other debts; also with having within three years before tho commencement of his bankruptcy failed to keep properbooks of accounts.
Mr Fell, for the prosecution, said the parties had consented to an adjournment for two weeks in order to permit of defendant being represented by Mr Young, his solicitor.
His Worship agreed to tho adjournment. Percy Stevens, grocer, Wellington, was charged with having (1) by false representation and (2) by a false statement of his affairs obtained goods from. A. S. Patterson and Co. Mr Neave appeared for defendant, aud entered a plea of guilty. His Worship took into consideration defendant’s previous good record, and convicted him on each information, and ordered him to come up for sentence when called upou.
