Prospects of the Poll
Press Association. — Copy rig lit Sydney, September 9. Uio final rallies look place to-night prior to the State elections.
A heavy poll is expected to-morrow. Vote-splitting will Bo rife in a considerable number of electorates which makes the result difficult to forecast. Mr Camithers estimates that of 90 members to be returned 57 at least will be found to support tho Liberal parly. Possibly 67 may be returned, The Labour Party is as usual well organised and confident. Several Independents consider they have good chances. Some surprises arc expected. Great" interest centres in the Local Option poll. Tlio campaign has been conducted with great vigour and earnestness and the Party's expectations are high for reductions of the licens.es concerned and hopeful of carrying no-license right opt hr a few electorates.
