Ir has been officially announced that Britain and tho United States, pending arbitration on tho subject, have arranged a modus vivendi for too conduct of Newfoundland fishc-rigs. The arrangements are substantially the same as those of 1906. ‘ 'American fishermen may ship Newfoundlanders as members 'of crews outside til? three mile limit, arid America in return waives tho use of purse and seine nets, and also fuidertakfes that American fishermen shall not fish on Sundays,
