Nanmoff, a Russian, has been arrested on a charge of fatally shooting Count Kamarowski, a Russian, at Venice. Tho latter’s life was insured for £20,000 in favour of the divorced Russian Countess Tarnouska, aged 26, to whom he was betrothed. Tho latter aud her lawyer Prilnkoff have been arrested hero on a charge of collusion in the murder. She alleged that Nanmoff, who is a young ' married mau, was passionately in love with her and had determined to kill Kamarowski. She sent Prilnkoff with a detective to protect the count and prevent his murder. But Prilnkoff confessed that her extravagance had ruined and driven him to rob his clients aud she planned the murder to obtain Kamarowski’s insurance, Prilnkoff aud sho desiring thereafter to marry; adding that Nanmoff was a mere tool in her hands.
