THE ARAWATTA-INGEBORG COLLISION.

Tiio marine inquiry into the Ara-watta-lugeborg collision found {that the regulation lights wore exhibited on the lugohorg; also that the collision occurred through a proper look-out uot being kept on the Arawatta, for which the second mate (McDairmid) was found in fault, his certificate being suspended for six months.
The Court was also f of opinion that the lugohorg contributed to the collision by failing to take action according to the proscribed regulations for preventing collisions at sea, when the collision seemed inevitable. 5 The Court exonerated (he captain of the Arawatta from all blame, and considered that ho did all , that was possible to save the crew. The Court also placed on record the heroic conduct of the captain of the lugeborg.
