During the examination of Green, the Inspector of Mines, the chairman reminded him that the Commission was not a board of amateurs, and that everything witness said he would he asked to sign. Mr Haudysido, managing director of the Nightcaps Company, expressed the opinion that the accident was duo to the effect of an earthquake on the previous Thursday.
