THE NEW HEBRIDES.
Press Association —Copyright.
London, August 9,
Replying to Lord Lonsdale Earl Grey stated that no complaints have been received from New Hebrides missionaries or Australian traders. Representations have been received from the Australian Government which Britain is communicating to France, relative to prohibition of the sale of liquor, etc., to natives. He hoped to receive a favourable reply shortly and trusted that in any case provisions regulating the sale of arms and liquor will be brought into force in a few months.
