I!pi : fish, fresh, dried and .smoked, 1 hi; poultry, fresh and dried, 2d; lionev, Liras, jellies, 2d; stoarine, waxes, lav’d, lard oil, refined oils Id per lb; tihle ri’t, 15 per cent, soap, 25 per cent; woodware, 40 per cent; paints, 4s Gd.

As a result of the tariff tho prices of a number of commodities have advanced, hut too rates as a rule have not yet settled down. Tho sudden imposition of such high duties came as a surprise and has caused a largo amount of dissatisfaction iu some quarters. Mulbouene, August 10.
