MEAT EXPORT COMPANY.

Press Association. Wkeungtox, August S. Tho eighteenth annual meeting of the Wellington Moat Export Company was held to-day. The report, which was adopted, recommended the payment of a dividend tor tho half-year at the rate of 8 per cent, a similar dividend having boon paid fur the pro .-ions half-year. Mr W. G. Buchanan and M. Elgar were re elected directors. The chairman (Mr W. G. Poster) said the work done during the year was about the same in volume as that of the previous year. The directors were pleased to report steady maintenance of tho Company’s produces. The Chairman said the directors had for some time thought an annual conference of freezing companies with the object of improving the conditions of the trade would be beneficial and it was hoped ere this such conference would have been held. Itie Now Zealand companies however wave not unanimous and so far the matter was in abeyance
