HEAVY RAIN.

The Auckland Star’s Paeroa correspondent wires that the ' incessant rain has caused a heavy flood in the river, and one street on the riverhank is IS inches under water, and ou Puke Road it is two feet deep, the water rushing down the street like a. mill race. Buchanan’s bridge, ou the Waihi-Paoroa road, is lifted by the Hood, which is six feet deep there, and several houses are surrounded by water. All the lowlying laud is submerged, • and stock had to be removed. Tire 'weather is now improving.
