Tho Frontier and j Minister of Pnolic Health had given an , assurance that if there was ;i flaw in tho ; title deeds regarding the silo at Peliohot Bay Government would take all rosponaii bility, and if necessary a special act would be passed vesting the land in the Board. Tho erection of the' hospital could therefore bo proceeded with at once. Pending the erection of the building, which would take some eight or nine months, ho would see what could best bo done for tho care of cases of infectious disease that might arise. Thu following resolutions were, earned : j That the architect be instructed toconfei v/ith Drs Mason ami Ogstonro plan for pro- ■ nosed hospital, plans and estimates to he submitted to the Board at next meeting ou August 15 ; that having respect to tho assurance given to Dr Mason on behalf of Government concerning a.L technical diUlculties with respect to tho ' Mile of the I. l nd tho work of tho erect uni ~t ,i -uitald- hospital will be proercdcii • with, at mice ; that ponding the erection of the hospital, arrangements he made for the euro of infectious diseases such as scarlet lever, o ; :e., outaino o* tho general hospital niidth ,ac hospital trustee.; be asked to care for all cases ot diphtheria which may refpuro hospital treatment ponding tho erection of ho.-pi-tai. it being uudorstood that tho Board will provide such monies as are necessary for tho extra nursing involving in tho iroatiiiL'iiu ol suck cases.
