A numerously signed petition, hearing tho signatures of all the loading fanners in tho district, is being sent to Mr Hogg for preseutation to Parliament, praying for the repeal of the Arbitration Act so far as it applies to districts outside of tho principal cities of the colony, as in the opinion of tlio petitioners it is not required in tho country towns and doctorates.
