A INF ANT’S DEATH.
Per Pres? •Irsoointion OnnisTCHuncir, August 5. The death of a child of a single young woman, residing witli her parents at Richmond, formed the subject of an inquiry at the morgue this evening. It appears that the mother was visited at her own homo yesterday afternoon by the young man with whom she had ’been keeping company. During tin afternoon the child, a fully-matured one, was born, without tiro assistance of a nurse. Later, two doctors were called in, and it was found that the child had been dead for some time. The mother’s condition was unknown to her parents. A verdict was returned that death was duo to suffocation. It is understood that proceedings will bo taken against the young man, who was present at the death, and who is alleged to be the father of the child. fy?
