(Press Association.) Auckland, August I. A lad named Cedric Purcell, aged 16[ was admitted to the hospital this morning suffering from a broken collar bone. Purcell, who was working at the Waitemata Sawmill, near the railway wharf, was struck by a falling plank. Yesterday afternoon Miss Muir,, a weiUkuown resident of Maugere, yyas driving to her home from Onehuftga in a buggy, and when on the stone approach to the. Maugere side her horse shied at an approaching milk van aud swerved, the hub of one wheel catching one of the posts of the- side rail. The buggy immediately overturned, aud the horse bolted. Miss Muir was accompanied by a boy, and both wore dragged some distance I before they could extricate themselyes.
