THE SCULLING CHAMPIONSHIP.

The Webb-Towns Match. Final Rows. Press Association. —Copyright. Sydney, Angus 1

A large crowd witnessed the final rows. Starting from Uhr’s Point at 26 strokes per minute which soon fell to 25. Towns and Webb chased the pacers to Man wharf where Towns stopped. Webb went on to the end of the course, spurting at the finish. His performance was considered the best he has shown in public. There has been an idea for some time that the New Zealander had something up his sleeve.
