Messrs A. H. Atkinson and 00., Ltd., reportOn Saturday at Mr Frank Harris’s farm, Cheltenham, we held a clearing sale of cows, etc., a fair number of buyers being present; but- the large number of cows offering lately killed competition. Tiie host price realised was £7 ss, faulty cows wore hard to quit. Quotations Cows ; Early calvers £4 os to £7 os, late to £5, springing heifers £2 to £2 15s, weauers 17s, bull £3 ss. Horses: Filly by “Wallace” rising two years old £lO, gelding by “Wallace” rising three years old £33. Pigs: Woaners 7s to 11s Od, sows £3 os to £6 3s (id. Fowls la od, ducks Is lOd each. Small line of good hoggets made 16s; sundries brought satisfactory prices. On Monday at Mr James Hopping’s, Beaconsfiold, we had the pleasure of offering the best herd of cows lately put under the hammer and proved so to the vendor the line of 38 averaging £5 17s, which must bo considered very satisfactory: prices realised were from £7 10s to £8 13s Od, December calvers brought from £4, woauor heifers 27s 6d, steers 335, Shorthorn bull £3 14s, fat cow £4 7s. horses aged £1 to £6 12s Od, yearling foal by “Captain” £5, yearling foal by “Wallace” £6 16s, fowls Is 4d, ducks 3s Od each, sundries sold well.
