Mr Flatmau moved the’ second rending of the Agricultural Labourers’ Accommodation Bill, whicu is. based on the shearers’ accommodation legislation, and seeks to provide decent accommodation for agricultural labourers.- The BiH also provides for inspection by inspectors appointed under the Factories Act. It also contains a claviso providing for separate accommodation for Chinese. The measure was generally acclaimed by members. . Mr Massev criticised the drafting ot the Bill,"and stated it -only provided for a tent after all. The Premier congratulated Mr Flatmau on the measure, and stated lie intended to support the Bill Mr Fisher suggested that the clause providing for separate _ accommodation for Chinese be eliminated, as if an employer once erected a house for Chinese he would he disposed to continue to employ the race. The motion was agreed to on the voices. .
