A Governor Defies the LawPress'? Association. —Copyright. New Yore, July 26. The Governor of North Carolina refuses to obey tho ruling of the Federal Circuit Court, declaring tho State law on railway rates unconstitutional, and rejects all compromise until the Bailway Company comply with the law. A serious conflict between the State and Federal authorities is feared, involving even the use of Federal troops to enforce the orders of the Court. The press widely condemns the Governor’s action.
