SANDON SCHOOL BALL
This popular event took place in the Sandon Town Hall last night under most favourable weather conditions. The committee have found that an evening’s dancing is the most pleasant and certain means of raising funds to supplement the school grant. The complete arrangements that had been made for the reception and entertainment of visitors prove conclusively that the district is fortunate in having such a number of willing and capable workers who have the interest of the school at heart. The attendance was hardly up to that of former years, quite a number of unforeseen circumstances compelling the absence of a number of prominent dancers. As usual a' plentiful supper was provided by the ladies. On behalf of the committee Mr J. Anderson thanked those who had so ably contributed to the success of the ball and to the public for their patronage. Dancing was continued till well after midnight when another successful social event was brought to a close.
