Tho City Council dealt with overcrowding the tramways last night and decided to notify tho Tram Company to provide eight additional cars before the end of tho year, also one new car every month next year and to increase the power. It was, however, agreed to amend the by-laws to allow a greater number of passengers to bo carried in each car, it being left to the City Engineer to decide how many strap hangers the cars can conveniently carry
