A Papal syllabus has been circulated embodying sixty-live articles on modernism in matters' of faith and in the reading of tho Scriptures. It decisively condemns all modern ideas, which it calls errors, concerning the interpretation of tho Gospels and criticism of the life, works, death and miracles of Christ. It also condemns criticism of Catholic dogmas and insists on faith in the church.
