Objection to its Use. (Press Association.) Auckland, July 16. About three months Ago the* Railway Department, in order to expedite’ quarrying whrk in ' connection with Auckland — Penrose ‘''duplication, erected a steam rook drill, - which is doing excellent work. The men who formerly did hand drilling were put on navvying. The feed shrew drill' is now missing and it will be some days helorh it can be replaced. It is stated ’ that there has heed dissatisfaction 1 among the men affected and’ a coVhrt threat was made that if the use of the drill was continued moans would be found to render it useless.
