LAND SETTLEMENT

Slow Railway Construction

Press Association,

Blenheim, July 8.

The Land Board to-day decided to notify 33 holders of small sections near the township on the Flash ourne settlement that they must reside according to the Act or forfeit. It is hoped this decision will help the cause of Jthe Bleuheim-Flaxbourne railway. There is not the least doubt that the settlers when they took up the sections two years ago believed that Government intended to extend the railway at once. The work on the line has not averaged one mile per year for the last four years.
