Dr Campbell, well known in connection with the so-called New Theology, in a sermon at the City Temple declared that the civilised world could no longer tolerate King Leopold’s diabolical system of bloody persecution in tho Congo State. If the Powers refused to co-operate, Britain, with America or alone, ought to bring the ruthless tyrant to his senses.
