MR McNAB AT GORE.

Press Association. Gore, Juno 21. The Hon, E. McNab addressed his constituents in the Gore Town Hall to-night. The building was Crowded and Mr Me Nab received a very cordial reception. In Jiis speech ho dealt at length with the Land Bill, elaborating the arguments be used in his speeches in other places, but deal'* ing more particularly with the criticism of the Opposition in regard to the optional tenure and the proposed endowments, which he said wore bound to increase greatly in value as time went on. At the conclusion of the address a motion was passed unanimously thanking the Minister for his able and interesting address, expressing confidence in the Government and strong approval of the earnest efforts that were being made b/ the Government to promote land settlement throughout the colony. The motion was moved by Mr Duncan Gilchrist, chairman of the Southland Education Board, and- a prominent member of the Banners’ Union, and seconded by Mr John Gray, of Mataura. The Minister leaves for the North by the morning express.
