CARNARVON.

[From Our Own Correspondent.]

Tho marriago of Miss Ruby, third daughter of Mr and Airs T. McKenzie, of Clydesdale, to Mr William Hastie wasj tho occasion of a large and brilliant assembly of relatives and friends of Mr and Mrs McKenzie and bride and bridegroom at their residence on Wednesday, tho 19th instant. Tiro ceremony was performed iu tho Carnarvon Hall by the Bov. J. A. McKenzie, uncle of tho bride. Tho bride, who was given away by her father, looked sweet and charming iu an ooliouuo dross trimmed with laco, and a beautiful veil and orange blossoms. She carried a .splendid bouquet of early spring flowers. Miss Phyllis McKenzie, sister of tho bride, was iu attendance as bridesmaid, and looked very nice indeed iu a cream Indian muslin frock trimmed with Valenciennes lace, cheuo ribbon sash and white hat, carrying a beautiful bouquet. The bouquets of both bride and bridesmaid were tho gift of Mr E. B. McKenzie. Tho bride and bridesmaid wore gold chain necklets, presents of tho bridegroom. The bridegroom was attended bj r Mr Forman, who acted as best man. After the ceremony the comjriuy were most hospitably entertained by Mr and Mrs McKenzie at their . residence, where tho reception took place. At 2 o’clock the happy couple left amidst hearty well wishes, rice, confetti, and old boots, eu route for Rotorua. The travelling dress of the bride was a tailormade grey tweed costume and winecoloured hat. Tho young jneople intend on their return to reside on their property near Ekctahnua. Among the near relatives present were Mrs Rockol, Mrs Hunter, Mrs Fitaherbert, Mrs Biuns, aunts of tho bride,*%ud their husbands; Mr R. B. McKenzie, Mr A. McKenzie, and their wives, Mr D. McKenzie, nudes of the bride. The presents were very numerous and valuable, and both ornamental and useful.
