The High Court - majority verdict on the income tax caso was read in Court to-day. It deals with tho application for leave to carry the case to the Privy Council. Sir John Forrest has submitted the position with regard to tho mail contract to Cabinet, but no decision has been reached. Sir John Forrost states the Government wants to see the contract carried out, but if it is to be varied will refer it back to Parliament.
