On the motion of the Her, Adamson it was decided to appoint a committee consisting of two representatives of each State and New Zealand to inquire into : the desirability of establishing eonnectional fire insurance. Mr Bobson Lay, noticed a. series of resolutions in favour of granting the Fijian Church a full share of self-government as an integral part of the Methodist Church of Australasia. That the necessary preliminary steps be taken to create a Fijian Conference at the General Conference of 1910, and that.as interim provision, the Financial District Synod shall have the right to elect to the Wales' Conference its representatives two ministers and two laymen, either Europeans or natives, who shall be eligible to go for election at the next Conference.
