Riley’s Opinion, Per Press Association —Copyright. Sydney, May 30. Richard Riley, who killed Rose Arnold fifteen months ago, was sentenced to death at tho time of tho murder. Riley was placed in an asylum as insane.- Medical evidence showed that he was suffering from delusional mania. He recently recovered his sanity and was placed on his trial. Prisoner made a statement that insanity was produced by mental troubles occasioned by the girl. He did not feel as a guilty man, nor did he bear a guilty conscience. It had pleased God to deprive him of reason and Ho would not hold him responsible for what he did when in that slate.
