Technical Education.

The public are reminded of tho meeting to bo held in the Town Hall, Bulls, to-morrow evening for tho purpose of testing tlxe feeling of the district regarding technical education. It is expected that Mr Purnell and Mr Varney (director of technical education in Wanganui district) will bo present and will explain what is being done in other centres. An attempt was made to start .these classes in Bulls last winter, hut was abandoned owing to the lack of interest displayed. It is understood that residents from Sandon and Ohakea intend to work in with Bulls , so that this year better results are expected. It is unnecessary to enlarge on the advantages of such classes as these. Tho difficulty appears to ho to got people interested. If fixe young people would only realise the advantages that, arc to be gained through the medium of technical education they would embrace every opportunity for acquiring knowledge on special subjects.
