Wool, Skin and Hide Sales.
Messrs Abraham and Williams report:—We held onr nsnal monthly sale on 17th instant and offered a catalogue comprising 40 bags and bales wool, 1500 skins, 800 hides and usual quantities of hair, bones and tallow, etc. Buyers were in good attendance and bidding was brisk. Quotations.—Wool, crossbred rough 8d to BkCd, crntchings 4%d to 6J£d, lambs 7d to 7%d, locks 3d to 4d, pieces 4%d to Skins: Crossbred half wools 8d to Bj£d, quarter wools Bd, fine half wools B%d, lambs 8d to dead 6%d to 7d, shorn lambs 7%d, butcher’s half dry and green 4s 6d to 5s Id to 6s to 6s lOd, butchers’ lambs 2s 6d to 4s Id. Hides : Calves sound 6%d, yearlings s}.£d, calves damaged 2d to 4>£d, ox heavy 6%d, medium 5%d to 6d, cows heavy 5%d, medium s>jjd to 6>£d, damaged ox and cows 4j£d to 4%d. Talloiv : Casks 20s 8d to 26s 6d per cw’t, tins 19s 9d per cwt. Hosse hair Is 4}<d per lb, cow tails Is 4d per dozen, bones 3s per cwt.
