Rangitikei Rugby Union. Bulls to Affiliate-
A deputation from the Rangitikei Sub-Union - ,consisting of Rev. Father Molloy and Mr J. Pawsou, waited on several members of the Bulls Football Club yesterday afternoon with a view to inducing that club to reconsider a former decision declining to nominate teams in the Sub-Union. ’ The delegates pointed out that the management committee had been reconstructed and was now composed of members who took no active part in the games. A copy of the Sub-Union’s by-laws wore also submitted. Subsequently a meeting of the members of the club was held in the evening, a largo number of players being present. The question, of affiliation with the Raugitikei Sub-Union was freely discussed and it was eventually decided to nominate a senior and junior team. The by-laws .(submitted |were also discussed and with the exception of a few minor details they met with the approval of the players. The club’s colours will bo black jersey and white pants, the same as in former years. Mr G. Hathaway was suggested as a member of the Management Committee, subject to the approval of the Union. Votes of thanks wore accorded to Mr Nicholson for past services rendered in the interest of the club, and to delegates from Marton who had waited on members in the afternoon. The secretary was instructed to send a letter of sympathy to the relatives of the late Mr J. Henderson, whoso early death is sincerely regretted. The opening senior fixture in Rangitikei will be Huntervillo v. Bulla at Bulls qu Wednesday next.
