Tho suspicious circumstauicoß in connection with tho girl Minnie Kitchen, who died rather suddenly on Monday, have induced the authorities to adopt unusual precautions ponding a bacteriological examination to ascertain whether the cause of death was blood poisoning. Tho strictest measures have been taken in enforcing quarantine. Timabu, May 13. Edward Walron, a lad about 18 years of age, whose parents reside in Auckland, last night foil from the rigging of the barque Kassa, just prior to her entering port. The lad fell 70 feet and sustained severe injuries. Wellington, May 14. A man about 40 years of age walked into a timber yard in tho city to-day, and sitting down, died in a few minutes from heart failure. His clothing was the kind usually worn by seafaring men. On. the body wa; found a discharge from tho steamer Ruapehu, made out in the name of Albert L'illier. Dunedin, May 15.
