The Masonic Grand Lodge concluded its sitting to-day, . ■ The balance sheet and report of the Board of General Purposes was reviewed and finally adopted. . Y.W. Bro. Chessman, of Christchurch, was elected auditor. , A motion to abolish proxy voting by representatives was allowed to stand over till next year. , The question of dealing with members of the Craft who have been convicted of crime was decided and remitted to the Board of General Purposes for further consideration. ■ A motion providing for nomination of Grand Superintendents by Past Masters of the district was rejected in favour of an amendment that each Lodge in the district be allowed to submit to the retiring Grand Superintendent the name of a candidate tor submission to the Grand Master. The constitution was amended by providing that the name of a candidate for initiation shall appear upon the summonses for two months before the ballot is taken. The motion for admission of ladies as spectators at installations of Grand Master was allowed to stand over till next year. . Tho visitors worn ontortauiod in the evening at a conversazione.
