Per Press Association.. Curistchuecu, May 9. An inquest was held to-night on Henry A. C. Ferguson, of Halswell, who died last night from injuries received in a collision between his dray and a traction engine. Evidence was given that the encine was drawn up close to the fence and out of the path of traffic and lights were shown both fore and aft. Deceased and his groom, who was with him in the trap, visited the Halswell Hotel shortly before the accident, but the licensee refused to serve them for the reason that they were under the influence of liquor.
