OBITUARY.
Rev. Jas. Doull. We regret to have to record tlie death of the Rev. James Doull, Minister of the Presbyterian Church, which occurred at Bulls yesterday. The late Mr Doull was born iu Ceylon and brought up in Scotland. He was educated at the Edinburgh University and was ordained in the year 18G5. Mr Doull was a lifo member of the Edinburgh University Council and such as he had a vote for the election of a member of the British House, of Commons. Mr Doull was a Minister of the Eree Church of Scotland in the Shetland Isles for seven years. He came to New Zealand in 1873 aud was at once appointed to Bulls. Mr Doull lias ministered to the people of the district for over 80 years with great ability and earnestness. He has seen the progress of settlement from the first. In addition to the duties devolving upon the late reverend 'gentleman he *held an important position of clerk to the Wanganui Presbytery and was also chairman of Bulls school for many years. Owing to advanced age the Rev. Mr Doull recently resigned the charge at Bulls. The funeral will take place on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
