Beuter’s Uskub correspondent reports that the Consul-General' at Salonika stated that .£13,500 was demanded ns ransom for Mr Abbott, tne son of an American, who was kidnapped by brigands. The Turkish authorities refused to pay the money. Guatemala, May 1. A bomb exploded near the President of Guatemala’s carriage. General Orellana and the coachman were injured.
