ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Press Association. Lyttelton, April 28. Herbert Richard, aged 13 years, a native of England, a first-class domestic employed as gun-room cook on H.M.S. Powerful, was found dead in bed at 5.45 a.m. to-day. He was in ordinary health yesterday, excepting a headache, but had felt tired and turned in at 9 p.m. A postmortem showed that he died from aneurism of the heart. Deceased was married, his wife being in Sydney. [Blenheim, April 29. Mrs Cress, aged 81, proprietress of the Wairau Valley Hotel, died suddenly yesterday morning. An inqut st is being held. Eketaitona April 29, A man named John Harm, a labourer, belonging to Hclousvillo, arrived at Ekctahnun from Dauuovirke on foot on Friday. Ho went out to Alfrodtou in search of work. Ho complained of being ill and was brought hack to Ekotahnna on Saturday night, and epximl just as le reached tho town. An inque-.t will he held this afternoon.
