In the House of Commons, Mr Lloyd George announced that ho would introduce a Bill prohibiting railway and other statutory corporations from contributing out of their funds to political contests. Sir Edward Grey, in reply to a question by Mr Pike Pease, declared that granting the intermediate tariff to foreign countries would not prevent Canada altering British preference in future.
