MARTON BOWLING CLUB.
There was a good attendance op Martou Bowling Green yesterday, and several interesting matches were played. The final of the handicap tournament (Glass A) for bowls presented by the late President (Mr S. Gibbous) yras played between H. H. Hunt and G. Hofilaway, and, after a clps'jj game, was won by the former by 3ti points to 33, In the B Class tournament for bowls presented by Air J. M. Nicol two more games wore got off. T. H. Brediu (10) 30 beat O. Pedersen (7), 26 and J. A. Pawson (4) 80 beat L. Mclndoe(3) IC. A challenge match is to take place shortly between H. Hunt (winner of bowls), G. Holdaway (runner-up), A E. Sharpe and J. Brockett (run-ners-up iu the doubles at Palmerston) and a team to be selected by J. McEldowney. Yesterday refreshments were kindly dispensed by Mesdames J. M. Nicol and E. Young.
