Auckland, April - 10.

At a meeting of the Auckland Presbytery an t application was re« ceived from Miss Roberta Mitchell, of DTtnedin., to be appointed to a Home mission circuit under the jurisdiction of the Presbytery. Several ministers present _ spoke highly of Miss Mitchell's aspiration but said they would not be a party to appointing a lady to a Home mission circuit. It was resolved that the Presbyteiy express gratification at Miss Mitchell's desire, but regretted it could not comply with her request.
