UNLICENSED SALE OF LIQUOR.

Per Pross Association. CiXEISTCHCKOH, April 9. John Pomeroy, keeper of an oyster saloon at tho Exhibition, was charged to-day at tho Police Court with selling liquor without a license. Pomeroy is understood to have lockers in the saloon in which is kept stout for customers. On March 2Gth two constables, strangers to Pomeroy, went into tho saloon and ordered oysters and gave the password, ascertained previously, and obtained bottles of stout The premises were raided the next day and 107 bottles were found in unnumbered lockers. No lockers in tho saloon were locked. The case is proceeding.
