Tiie second round in file A Class tournament for bowls ’presented s by the late president (Mr S. Gibbons’) resulted as follows :—H. H. Hunt (6) 35 beat J. M. Nieol (6) 34; J. A. Bell (8) S 3 heat A. Linton (6)23; G. Holdaway (7) 28 fieat A. H. Sutcliffe (5) 30: A, F. Sharpe (1) 30 beat J. McEldownoy (3) 15. Iu the third round H. H. Hunt (8) 34 beat A, F. Sharpe (C) 19. The winner of the - - Holdaway-Bell match will play H. Hunt for the trophy. At the Easter tournament at Palmerston Messrs Sharpe aud Brockett, members of Martou Club, put up , a creditable performance iu the doubles, just winning honors by a narrow margin of one point.
