The Times’ Paris correspondent, m forwarding extracts from Monsignor Montangini’s papers, states that he furnished him exclusively. Ho declares that they reveal on Monsiguor Montangini’s part the unimpeachable authority of the Church in Prance and possibly throughout the world, traversing the great crisis in the cities. Monsignor Montangini showing that the U [tramontanes were alarmed at the progress of the Liberal Catholic movement in France and the profound divergence of views between a portion of the French Episcopate and the Vatican.
