Dunr JIN, April 4. Speaking at the Trades and Labour Conference social the Hon. J. A. Millar replied at some length to the eritic:'sms made by tho Conference regarding his references to Australians in connection with tho slaughtermen's dispute. He justified his statements and said hd had only done his duty. He admitted that delays of tho Arbitration Court had been Largely icsponsible for the trouble and said lie would introduce legislation lo provide that a disputo would be heard 14 days after being filed. He also said he would introduce legislation amending tho Shops and Offices Act and tho Workers Compensation Act.
